After playing various concerts together we decided to come up with a special project where vocal Jazz, Cuban rhythms and Latin compositions come together in order to reflect our "inner melodies", musical background and preferences. SON MEN is simply the mixture of our essences. 

 

Here's the story behind our band name SON MEN.

Son (cubano) is a style of music and dance that originated in Cuba and gained worldwide popularity. It is one of the most influential and widespread forms of Latin American music and one of our favourite styles. In Spanish "son" also means "they are". MEN simply stands for (M)ike, (E)milio and (N)elson, the founders of SON MEN.
